Tue, 15 Aug 2000 16:13:47 -0700 (PDT)Hi there,I’m new to this list and I’ve just started some experiences with thebridge code in the Linux kernel. My setup includes an ADSL link, a multihomed Linux box and a Windowsmachine. I have 5 static IPs to play with. So, I’ve read the bridgedocumentation. Everything seems to work just fine, but from time to time(like, every 8 hours or so) bridge stops working (the Windows machinecannot see the world anymore) and I have to stop the bridge, remove themodule, load it again e setup the bridge so everything start to workagain. I wonder what could be wrong. I’m using SuSE 6.4 with the mostcurrent patches from them and kernel 2.4.0-test6. My ethernet cards areall LinkSys 10/100 using the tulip driver. Also, I noticed that there is no firewall patch compatible with the newnetfilter code for kernel 2.4. Is that right or did I miss something? Thanks for your help,Bruno.
